Prop Speed

Propspeed™ prevents marine growth from bonding to metal surfaces below the waterline and works because it is slick, not because it is toxic.   Application of Propspeed™ is a simple two step process beginning with a catalyzed etch primer followed by a silicone based top coat. It is an environmentally safe product and does not contain copper, tin or any other toxic substances which may cause environmental pollution.  Propspeed™ is a solution to a problem which has frustrated owners and captains for years.  Propspeed increases vessel performance, increased fuel efficiency, less maintenance costs, easily applied, incredibly effective, long service life, zero toxic substances.  Can be used on propellers, shafts, bow thrusters, rudders, trim tabs and keel coolers.

We recommend after years of antifoul build up, to take your hull back to the original gelcoat and start with a fresh, clean surface.  Our prices include covering the boat in plastic, masking up to the waterline, sand blast, wash down and disposal of waste material.

Osmosis Repairs

Osmosis on fibreglass hulls is the result of osmotic or ionic migration of moisture through poorly applied fibreglass which results in delamination of the fibreglass from the matting.

Anode Replacement

Whenever two metals contact each other in salt water, a current flows between those metals.  the electrons that make up the electrical current are taken from one of the metals, causing the metal to corrode.  By purposely attached a metal that is less noble (in this case, a zinc anode) than the metal on parts on your boat, you can protect critical portions of your vessel at the expense of the cheaper zinc.  this is why zinc anodes are often called "sacrificial zincs".

Propellers, shafts, rudders, struts, etc can be cathodically protected at the expense of zinc plates and anodes.

If the surface of your boat (most commonly gelcoat) is looking cracked or faded, or if oxidisation is visible, chances are you’re in need of a new paint job. We provide a controlled environment where you can receive a flawless marine paint finish from small repair jobs to complete resprays on large vessels in a contained shed.  We also offer all works such as deck brightening/oiling, teak restoration, gelcoat restoration, cutting and polishing of fibreglass, metal polishing and vinyl cleaning. Regular maintenance, that is buffing and waxing, can stop the gelcoat from fading and helps it to last longer. Once it begins to fade, UV rays attack the surface and the quality of your coat deteriorates quickly.
